As a Republican Jew I often find myself in the minority. As someone who is deeply involved in Jewish life, this happens quite often. Yet when it comes to Israel, I find affiliated Jewry, especially those identified as liberal, becomes lackluster in their commitment to classical liberal values. This is not a clarion call for the Jewish community to wake up and smell the politically conservative flowers. Rather, it is a call for our community to recognize that Progressive Jews are right on Israel and wrong regarding their critique of the Jewish community. Israel is not perfect and, it is my opinion that the Jewish Progressives are 100% right that this fact should not be hidden from inquiring minds.
